Our Products - IT Infrastructure

What exactly is IT Infrastructure?

The simple definition of IT infrastructure is the combined set of hardware, software, network resources, facilities and services required for the operation, management, and support of an organization’s IT environment.

Without a robust IT infrastructure, businesses in today’s technology-driven marketplace will struggle to remain competitive.

Zantek assists organizations on their journey to leverage technology and drive their businesses to the next level. Zantek supplies and supports all components of IT infrastructure for small and medium size enterprises. See the wide variety of products we supply below to learn more about how we can help in your digital transformation.

Software Components

While Zantek is not a software developer, we can supply the majority of software components that small and medium size enterprises utilize:

  1. Systems software such as operating systems, network management tools, backup and recovery tools, security and more; and
  2. Productivity software such as Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe, Outlook email client and Teams.

Zantek does not supply line-of-business applications such as accounting, operations or production, but we do support the underlying IT infrastructure that these applications run on. In addition, we have plenty of experience with common industry specific applications that our clients depend on.

Today, most small and medium size businesses are moving away from on-premises into a cloud or hybrid IT infrastructure model. Zantek is happy to work with you to determine which of the IT Infrastructure types best suits your business and budget.

Network Components

The network is what securely connects all the components of the IT infrastructure into a cohesive unit. Whether you are looking for a Local Area Network (LAN), a Wide Area Network (WAN) or a virtual network, Zantek can supply it. Typical components include cabling, switches, routers, firewalls and Wireless Access Points (WAPs).

Facilities

Facilities are necessary to securely house and support the other IT components. Zantek can supply a full assortment of network racks, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSs), and cable management to ensure optimum performance of your network.

In general, there are three types of IT Infrastructure:

On-premises infrastructure

Where all the IT components are housed within the facilities of the business.

Cloud-based infrastructure

IT components are housed by a service provider and the business typically pays a recurring hosting fee.
